The Barber of Seville directed by Alberto Zedda will celebrate in the most solemn way Gioacchino Rossini’s birthday on 29 February at 20.30 at the Rossini Theatre.
The concert will be organized by Conservatorio Rossini, Accademia Rossiniana del Rossini Opera Festival, the town of Pesaro, Amat and Fondazione Rossini.
The maestro Zedda, author of the critical edition of the opera celebrating also the 2 centuries anniversary from its first execution, will be directing the Orchestra and Choir of the Conservatorio Rossini. Within the singing company will be featuring the most brilliant singers from the last editions of the Accademia Rossiniana: Sunnyboy Dladla (Conte d’Almaviva), Filippo Fontana (Bartolo), Cecilia Molinari (Rosina), Yunpeng Wang (Figaro), Dimitri Pkhaladze (Basilio). Featuring next to them some of the best students of the Conservatorio Rossini singing classes: Giorgia Paci (Berta), Li Shuxin (Fiorello), Giuseppe Lamicela (Ambrogio) e Xue Tao (Un ufficiale).
