The warm season is around the corner and the travel craving resurfaces: longer days, a tepid sun encouraging us even more to enjoy the outdoors.

Then why not take advantage of the spur and plan a visit to the marvellous city of Urbino? A small human sized city that left a permanent mark in history and today is a Unesco world heritage city.

A visit to the city, the marvellous Palazzo Ducale, unique of its kind, the house where the great Raffello Sanzio was born or the evocative oratories of San Giuseppe and San Giovanni, both examples of great historical and artistic importance, visit that in this period can be even richer given the following events taking place in Urbino during the following months of March and April:

After 15 years from his passing, two historical places in Urbino host the works of Gianfranco Ferroni. Two exhibitions aiming to emphasize a significant part of the paintings, etchings and photographs of this extraordinary artist of the 20th century.  The curator Umberto Palestini, given access to an archive of 1600 photographs, looks at Ferroni from a new perspective and, in tune with Antonio Gnoli’s observations, discovers a new aspect, till now unexplored, of passion, eroticism, heterodox and poetic attachment to reality.
